My father has high blood pressure and he has been undergoing a treatment against it for eight years. Two months ago I took him here, in Canada, for a period of time. As he was not feeling well, he ran some medical tests. The results of the investigations that show the kidneys functioning are not very good. Let me put before you the results and the normal limits according to the Canadian standard: glucose-7.0 (normal: 4.0-6.0 mmol/l), urea-14.2 (normal: 3.2-7.1), creatinine-251 (normal: 50-110). The high value of the creatinine worries us a lot. Now, my father undergoes a treatment with Norvasc (amlodipinum, produced by Pfizer International Corporation), Altace (ramipril, produced by Monarch Pharmaceuticals), Aspirin (acidum acetylsalycilicum, produced by Bayer Ag) and Furosemid (furosemidum, produced by Labormed). At the age of 17 years old, when her colleagues dream about their future, Anca, my niece is confronted with a serious health problem. In August 1998 she had a tumor surgically removed and she was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma. After one year she underwent another surgery at "Dr. Bagdasar" Hospital and then, a treatment with cytostatics for 12 months at Fundeni Oncology Institute (September 1999-August 2000). Even though the medical tests run every month at Fundeni Hospital did not show anything serious and even though she felt normally, the tumor recurred; thus, she had to undergo the third surgery in April 2002. After having run the medical tests at "V. Babes" Institute, she was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma. My little son, who is 2 years and 6 months old, suffers from bronchiolitis; he was diagnosed with this disease when he was one year and six months old. He was hospitalized and he underwent a treatment while being there, but because of the many treatments, he became allergic to antibiotics, having convulsions when antibiotics were administered to him. Even though I administer him gamma globulin every year and he undergoes a treatment with Bromwaxon for six months every year, the effect is the same, he has the same symptoms: fever, agitation, cough, difficult and whistling breath, progressive loss of weight. Five years and four months ago my husband underwent a surgery of pulmonary neoplasm. He underwent a left superior lobectomy for moderate differentiated epidermoid carcinoma. He had many complications after undergoing the surgery because of the low immunity and of the treatments with cytostatics and cobalt. I am twenty years old and I have always lived with my grandparents (and of course my parents) and I have got even more attached to them than to my parents, who were always at work. A few days ago, I received a piece of news that darkened my life: my 81 years old grandfather suffers from mammary cancer (on his left side) in an advanced stage. "How could I get rid of an obsessive-compulsive disturbance?"

I was also confronted with two episodes of this terrible disease and, as I know how difficult to survive this diagnosis is, I would like to let Mirela know that there are two medicines that may make the disease disappear. I refer here especially to the two medicines that helped me lot. They are Anafranil (clomipaminum, produced by Novartis) - at first one tablet a day, for a few days, then two tablets a day, and after this three tablets a day for a longer period of time). But the best medicine against the obsessive-compulsive disturbance is Seroxat (European Paxil), which you should take the same way as the previous one, progressively: one tablet a day, one and a half and then long standing maintaining treatment, two tablets a day. Seroxat is rather expensive (a box containing 30 tablets costs about 1, 5 millions), but it is on the list of totally compensated medicines. So, if Mirela has a psychiatrist who diagnosed her, he could help her obtain the compensated medicine. Please, inform Mirela about what I have let you know, but without publishing my name. We all know what people are like and there are only few who understand that a psychic disease does not necessarily mean madness!

I would like to advise you to treat this disease as seriously as possible because, even though the disease has a benignant character and does not endanger your life, due to the polymorphic symptomatology (dizziness sensations, head and neck burning sensations, vomiting sensations, thick and head sensation etc.) and to its progressive character, the patient"s social integration is more and more difficult. As a natural treatment, let me recommend you: Compresses with crushed cabbage leaves, applied on your nape and forehead; make sure that the internal side of the leaf is applied on the sick area. You should keep them for at least 12 hours a day, for one month. I suggest that you should go to a hematology institute and, based on some complex medical tests, see if he suffers from any immunodeficiency type (at the level of the cells or at the level of qualitative antibodies production). Many times, even though the immunoglobulin is normal, an immunoelectrophoresis may indicate low concentrations of certain antibodies types, the most frequent one being the lack of IgA and IgG2, which seems to be the cause of your son"s disease. "My little daughter suffers from urinary infection"

You should not inquire about natural remedies for your daughter. From the brief description made by you, I am inclined to think that your daughter may have much more serious problems than a simple recurring urinary infection. The fact that despite all the treatments with antibiotics the infection still persists makes me think that there may be a urinary system malformation - for example vesicoureteral reflux (which means that the urine gets back to the kidneys from the bladder, when the latter gets contracted), urethral stenosis or even renal lithiasis (calculus). You should see a pediatrist, for a complete kidneys investigation, starting with an echography and continuing with a radio-isotropic investigation of their function. If there is a malformation, this should be surgically repaired as soon as possible (I say this as it seems to have already affected her growth). Sometimes, in life, you should also resort to surgery.

1. In order to have your blood circulation improved and to stop the evolution of your disease, let me recommend you a natural product based on salmon oil- Omega 3, wheat germs oil and vitamin E- natural and you should keep a vegetarian diet +fish. You should give up smoking, alcohol, sugar, animal fats, and salt.

2. First of all, you should not despair. You should pray to God, thank him and be aware that he will help you. Give something as a present to a poor man or offer to help someone this very day. Fast for at least one week, with light food and with a lot of fruit and vegetables, preferably fresh, as salads. Avoid fats for a period of time, as they make the blood viscous. Drink yoghourt instead of milk. You should take "Granovit" (bio granules, invented by Nicolae Gazea) (germinated wheat flakes) - 3-6 spoonfuls a day, in cures of 3-4 weeks. You can buy it from the baker"s from Brasov, or from "Apicola" (str. Muresenilor, Brasov). You should make a lot of physical exercise, even simple walking a few times a day, in order to have the blood circulation improved. When you rest, you should keep your feet higher than the rest of your body (put 1-2 pillows on the bed, under your heels). Drink teas made from dandelion (Taraxacum officinale), rose hips and stinging nettle (Urtica dioica) (1-2 teaspoonfuls of plant for a mug of boiling water, 2-3 mugs a day); the liquids fluidize blood and the teas made from these plants make the veins inflamed walls thin and open them up to facilitate the blood circulation. Take foot baths in the morning and in the evening, for 15 minutes, with concentrated tea of stinging nettle (Urtica dioica) leaves (two handfuls of minced dry leaves for one liter of hot water). In the evening, you should cover the sick leg with a bandage which has been soaked into concentrated decoction of stinging nettle (Urtica dioica) and keep your leg higher than the rest of your body; in order to avoid the cold sensation, you should cover the bandage with nylon and put a blanket over it. If you can bear it, you may keep the bandage with decoction on your leg from evening till morning; if you cannot bear it, you may gently wipe your leg and massage it with chestnuts or hellebore (Helleborus purpurescens) tincture, or smear it with Stimuven (based on natural products, produced by Exhelios). Mince chestnuts (Aesculus hippocastanum) - with the help of the mincing machine. You can find them especially on the alley from under Tampa. Put them into a jar and cover it with alcohol: stir it once a day; after one week, strain it with the help of a handkerchief and squeeze it well. Massage your leg gently starting from your toes to the knees (always upwards, never downwards). Buy hellebore (Helleborus purpurescens) tincture from Plafar or Apicola shops, or prepare it by yourself, from hellebore roots bought from the merchants from the Brasov markets, as it follows: put a handful of minced hellebore root into a jar with screw cap; add two mugs of home made alcohol and let the mixture brew in a lukewarm place for one-two weeks, stirring it every day. You should be careful and use this tincture only for massages upwards (you should not apply it over cuts or wounds!), not internally. The hellebore is very toxic! You should not forget to label the jar. If you do not find hellebore at the market, you should buy the gel or the Romanian ointment Stimuven - based on hellebore - from the pharmacy. The chestnuts and the hellebore, in external applications, are well known for improving the blood circulation. I wish you to be in good health!

As it comes from your description, the hydrocephalus evolution may have stopped. The fact that at the age of 2 years and 7 months old your child is able to do all the things that any other child does at this age is encouraging. However, it is difficult to give a final prognostication regarding his evolution. Of course, the surgery would have been the best alternative for him, as the evolution of liquid accumulation in his brain could have been stopped. The fact that other children underwent the same surgery and did not survive does not mean anything. Usually, the children who suffer from hydrocephalus and who need to undergo such surgeries have other health problems as well, and the fact that they did not survive could be connected with other problems that they had. Now, the best solution for your child is to run a cerebral Ct (computer tomography). With the result of this investigation, you should go to a neurologist or a neurosurgeon for children and ask for his opinion.
